Sometimes life throws you a curve ball when you're not expecting it and instead of hitting a home run for your team, you strike out. My little monkey, who goes by the name of depression, has been visiting, and in his throes I have challenged my marriage and a good friendship. I'm on an upward trajectory from a pit of despair and I'm feeling grateful for my blessings.

I'm heading out next week to a scrapbooking convention in Houston, so I'm busy preparing for that. I'll get to spend a few days alone with my folks and reconnect with my art. So looking forward to that energy.
Birthday party for our girl Claire on Saturday, since I'll be away for her "real" birthday. She's turning 9 and of course I can't even wrap my head around how fast the time has gone. And will continue to go I'm sure.
Look for more to come soon. Feeling back in the saddle again.
